Our Chai


We blend and brew Chico Chai from scratch, by hand, in small batches. Our chai concentrate is brewed fresh, complex with spices and has a nice balance of spicy and sweet. Our loose leaf chai is fully customizable for the perfect cup of chai in your own kitchen. We're committed to making and brewing chai with honor and respect and to its South Asian origins and traditions, which means we're constantly researching and learning as a part of our process.

    Introducing our new, limited edition blend - Saffron Rose! We have been looking forward to sharing this new blend with you, and you’ll see why.

     This unique tea is made with Assam black tea, panneer rose petals, and Kashmiri saffron from Diaspora Co. If you are not familiar with Saffron, the spice comes from the saffron crocus, a purple flower with small, thread-like stigmas that are carefully hand plucked, hand sorted, dried, and used in various recipes, medicines, dyes, fragrances, and in this case, tea!

    Saffron will add a sweet, floral, honey-like taste to this blend to be complemented by the delicate and floral notes of rose. Saffron is also where this tea will get its lovely crimson hue.

    Ingredients:

    Organic Assam black tea, Kashmiri saffron (from Diaspora Co.), panneer roses, cardamom.

    Instructions:

    Steep 1 tsp of tea in 1 cup of hot water for 3-4 minutes

    Add milk/ alt milk and sweetener if desired

    Servings:

    Each 1oz tin will make about 15 cups of tea
