Our Story

Sarah, our owner and brewmistress, started Chico Chai in 2004, selling chai at the local farmers' market and to a few local cafes. Before long, demand grew for her fresh, spiced chai and it's now served at the fine coffeehouses all over Northern California. Despite its popularity, our chai is still brewed fresh from scratch in small batches, with great attention paid to detail and quality.

    POSITION:
    Production Assistant

    SCHEDULE & REQUIRED AVAILABILITY:
    12-16 Hours/week
    Mondays & Wednesdays

    DUTIES:
    Assisting with bottling, packaging and labeling, cleaning and sanitizing brew kettle, production floor, equipment and dishes. 

    REQUIREMENTS:
    We need someone who is energetic, physically strong, able to lift 50 lbs easily, takes direction well, pays attention to detail and works well with a team.

    PAY:
    $15/hr 

    MORE ABOUT THE POSITION:
    This job involves heavy lifting in both hot summers & chilly winters. This is really hard work, but you’ll be a part of a fantastic team (and the chai is delicious). We're looking for a long-term work relationship, not just a temporary employee. We're a growing company that values and rewards commitment and initiative.
